Ms. Wilson was a Senior Mana ger with the Assembly of First Nations (AFN)\, a national Aboriginal organ ization representing First Nation communities in Canada when she joined th e Federal Government in 1996 and for five years served as Director General \, Aboriginal Affairs at Correctional Service Canada. In 2003\, Gina becam e Director General at Human Resources Skills Development Canada\, before m oving to the Privy Council Office (PCO) in 2005 as Director General of Eng agement\, where she organized a First Ministers Meeting.\n\nGina Wilson wa s appointed in 2006 as Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) with Indian Residen tial Schools Resolution Canada and was a partner in the implementation of a settlement agreement for approximately 80\,000 survivors of Indian Resid ential Schools in Canada. Her office oversaw the co-ordination of events l eading to the Prime Minister's historic Apology on June 11\, 2008. She the n was named Senior Assistant Deputy Minister\, Regional Operations\, at In dian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) and was responsible for the implem entation of operations and programming in seven regions. Gina was also a p articipant in the Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) in 2009.\n\nMs. Wilson was Assistant Deputy Minister of Emergency Management and Regional Operat ions at Public Safety Canada in 2011-2013\, where she lead a national emer gency management system and strategies to reduce and mitigate disasters in Canada and then was Senior Assistant Deputy Minister\, Treaties and Abori ginal Government at Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada foc used on reconciling Aboriginal and Crown interests through the negotiation and implementation of modern treaties.\n\nGina was then appointed as Asso ciate Deputy Minister at Employment and Social Development Canada in March \, 2014 where she served the Minister of State for Seniors and the Ministe r of State for Social Development\, while tackling departmental efforts to reduce the backlog at the Social Security Tribunal. In addition\, Gina le ad initiatives such as 'Job Bank/Job Match' - a national website to match employers and job seekers and several additional corporate and workplace i nitiatives.\n\nGina Wilson was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Publ ic Safety Canada on July 6\, 2015.\n\n \n\n\nHÉLÈNE LAURENDEAU\n Associate Deputy Minister\n Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada\n\nMs. Hélène Laur endeau was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and N orthern Development Canada in December 2013.\n\nIn early 1991\, Ms. Lauren deau joined the Public Service with the Department of Justice. She served as Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel for four federal organizations. From 1999 until mid-2011\, she held three different senior executive posit ions at the Treasury Board Secretariat\, notably responsible for Labour Re lations and Risk Management in Human Resources.\n\nFrom September 2003 to October 2004\, Ms. Laurendeau held the position of Special Advisor to the Clerk of the Privy Council on Cabinet confidences.\n\nMost recently\, she served as Senior Vice-President\, Policy Branch\, of the Public Service Co mmission of Canada. Her responsibilities there included delegation and acc ountability\, political activities and non-partisanship and appointment po licies.\n\nMs. Laurendeau graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1982 with a B.A. in Arts (Communication) and with a Law degree in 1985. She was called to the Québec Bar in 1986. Ms. Laurendeau practiced administrative \, labour relations and human rights law in the private sector from 1986 t o 1991.\n\nRaised in Lanaudière\, Québec\, but with strong ties to the Bas St-Laurent\, Ms. Laurendeau completed her high school studies at Collège de l’Assomption. She is the proud mother of two dynamic young adults.\n\n  \n\n\nHILLARY THATCHER\n Assistant Deputy Minister\n Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs\, Government of Ontario\n\nHillary Thatcher joined the provincial government in September 2013 as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Aborigin al Relations and Ministry Partnerships at the Ministry of Aboriginal Affai rs. Prior to joining the Ministry\, Hillary was the Director of First Nati on and Metis Relations at the Ontario Power Authority\, where she worked c losely on procurement and funding support programs for Aboriginal communit ies. She also worked with remote First Nations and a team of energy planne rs on the development of a business case to examine the feasibility of exp anding Ontario's transmission system to the remote First Nations in North- West Ontario. Hillary is Metis with lineage from Northern Alberta and is a n active member of Toronto's Urban Aboriginal community. Hillary lives in Riverdale with her husband Clint Davis and their two children\, Fern and R iel.\n\n \n\n\nDEBBIE BERESFORD -GREEN\n Assistant Deputy Minister\n Corpora te Services Branch\, Health Canada\n\nDebbie Beresford-Green is the Assist ant Deputy Minister\, Corporate Services for Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada responsible for a variety of functions including H R\, IM/IT\, Real Property and Security.\n \n Since joining Health Canada in 2008\, Ms Beresford-Green has held various executive positions and been re sponsible for regional regulatory operations including regional laboratori es and inspection activities\; and grants and contributions funding for pr ograms and the National anti-Drug Strategy and the Roadmap for Official la nguages.\n\nMs Beresford-Green began her Public Service career as a Custom s Inspector.
