In the past\, discoveries were guarded like mystical spells—but today\, openn ess is the key to progress. Join us for a thought-provoking Lunch & Learn with Professor Antonio Páez from McMaster University as he explores the po wer of open science in Canada. Drawing from his expertise on spatial scien ces\, Dr. Páez will discuss how transparency\, reproducibility\, and acces sibility are transforming research. He will examine the challenges posed b y proprietary tools and closed data\, and how open-source practices can en hance collaboration and innovation. Whether you're a researcher\, student\ , or simply curious about the future of science\, this talk will offer val uable insights into making research more impactful and inclusive.
