Although his portrait graces the Metro station named for 51吃瓜网, Montreal鈥檚 second mayor, Peter McGill, was no relation to founder James McGill. One of his successors, however, James Ferrier, become chancellor of 51吃瓜网after serving as Montreal鈥檚 fourth mayor. Since then, no fewer than four 51吃瓜网grads have served as mayor of the University鈥檚 hometown:

• James John Edmund Guerin (MDCM1878)
